This is our "Standard" model available as a completely solid Spanish Cedar body or with an Eastern Maple cap. Looking for iconic Maple on Mahogany tone, this is your model. Thick, full tone with loads of sustain yet with a surprising amount of snap thanks to the Wenge fretboard. The Daylighter is ideal for those who value solid carved top tone but struggle with the muddy nature found in many traditional single cuts.

Also available with an optional Semi Hollow package. The Semi-Hollow has a unique voice that straddles the lines between The Daylighter Standard and the Express Supreme yet retains a little warmer tone with a slightly softer attack.

Standard Specs

  • Spanish Cedar back, Eastern Maple Cap, Spanish Cedar neck
  • 24.75" scale Maple bound, Wenge fretboard with vintage pearloid Keystone inlays.
  • TonePro's and Sperzel hardware

Mr. Burks died on May 6, 2012. In tribute to the world's finest bluesman, I'll be uploading some live recordings from BB's Jazz, Blues, and Soups in St. Louis, Missouri, USA along with some pictures I've taken.

Michael Burks (Guitar/Vocals) performs "Somebody Help Me" at The Hamilton in Washington, DC on the night of my 50th Birthday. Michael is backed by Wayne Sharp (Keyboard), Chuck "Popcorn" Louden (Drums) and Terrence Grayson (Bass). Michael was taken from us far too soon and I hope this video captures some of what made him so special as a man and artist.

This is what the poor neighbors at the shop have to listen too. Played thru the bright channel of a semi original 50s tweed deluxe.
